The converter is used to connect up to 32 readers with RS-485 output to a host PC via a RS-232 series Port. When real time readers are used (PR-343P - PR-343R), the readers are capable of storing up to 3,000 access events in their internal static memory at Off-lined, so when the Profelm software is loaded in the host PC, automatically downloads all access events from the readers memory, shorts them by date and time and saves them in the database of the Access control software. The use of the converter does not support Time zones, Door zones and Holliday restrictions when the readers are Off-lined. In this case the host PC should always be On-lined with the readers. In On-lined status, all software benefits are supported. (Readers parameters programming - Access Restrictions e.t.c). The converter includes the software installation disk. | ||
